October Nights Press Is Accepting Short Stories/ Submission Guidelines (Pay: 3¢/word)

October Nights Press is seeking submissions for “GabaGhoul: A Mafia Horror Anthology,” which will merge the thrills and chills of horror with the dark underworld of the mafia.

Submission Guidelines For October Nights Press

  • Stories must be horror and mafia-themed, featuring mafia families and crime organizations from around the world.
  • Minimum word count: 3,000 words.
  • Payment is capped at 5,000 words.
  • All horror sub-genres are accepted, including slow burn, splatter, erotica, extreme, etc.
  • No reprints.
  • Simultaneous submissions are allowed but must be disclosed.
  • Absolutely no AI-written or AI-assisted stories.

Payment Information At October Nights Press

  • 3¢ per word, up to 5,000 words.
  • One physical author copy (domestic shipping only).
  • Ebook copy.
  • Payment made upon acceptance of the final edited story.
  • For international authors, physical book options will be discussed with the editor.

Deadline

  • Submissions will be accepted until July 31, 2024.
